Unitel Technologies and Stellaria Deploy a Next-Generation AI/HPC Cluster to Accelerate Stellaria's R&D

Marseille, le 10 décembre 2024

Unitel Technologies, renowned for its expertise in cutting-edge digital infrastructures, has announced the design and deployment of a revolutionary AI/HPC (Artificial Intelligence for High-Performance Computing) cluster for Stellaria. This company is dedicated to developing a next-generation molten salt nuclear reactor capable of 100% in-core fuel renewal. This collaboration has enabled Stellaria to compute all parameters of its reactor's digital twins in record time.

Conducted with the utmost confidentiality, this project represents a significant technological advancement to address Stellaria's specific needs, whose solution could redefine the energy future of the country. The computing cluster, designed specifically by Unitel Technologies' teams, is tailored to tackle complex challenges by combining exceptional computational power, full technological sovereignty, and uninterrupted 24/7 operation.

Les Small Modular Reactor (SMR) and Advanced Modular Reactor (AMR) embody a new era in nuclear energy, thanks to their modularity, energy efficiency, and reduced environmental footprint. Performance requirements in this field surpass traditional standards, demanding digital solutions capable of simulating and optimizing highly complex systems. Stellaria’s cluster has made it possible to model the digital twins of its reactor with unprecedented precision, accelerating the design and validation phases of a groundbreaking fast neutron reactor.

Technological sovereignty was an absolute priority in designing this infrastructure. The implemented architecture ensures complete control over data and operations—an imperative for Stellaria in a demanding strategic and regulatory context. This system relies on resilient technologies and advanced security systems, ensuring the confidentiality of ongoing work and operational continuity.

“We are honored to support Stellaria in a project that combines technological innovation with energy ambition. This AI cluster is not just a secure infrastructure; it is a tool serving energy transition and industrial sovereignty. It also demonstrates Unitel Technologies’ ability to meet its partners' most demanding needs.”

Kévin Polizzi, Unitel Technologies's President

“The cluster plays a crucial role in accelerating the development of simulation tools, essential for reducing the design timelines of fast neutron reactors. Thanks to Unitel Technologies, we designed and delivered our preliminary reactor project in just one year at a highly competitive cost.”

Nicolas Breyton, Stellaria's CEO

This project illustrates the convergence between digital and energy players, where computing performance becomes a catalyst for innovation in critical domains.
