Our goal is to create a competitive, carbon-free fast-neutron reactor that can be deployed in the early 2030s.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Forming this working group was of paramount importance to optimize fuel development costs by pooling our experience. Together, we will be working on issues such as transport, packaging, manufacturing facilities and salt reprocessing.<\/p>\n<p>This new collaboration complements those we have already initiated with Thorizon and Orano for the realization of phase 1 of the France 2030 call for innovative reactor projects submitted in June 2023.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-elements-5d4fe207c4f47dc754c4ac6d76d63aa1\">\n<blockquote>\n<p><em><strong>It represents a further commitment to the closure of the fuel cycle, which has been one of our leitmotivs since our creation. This alliance strengthens our ability to deliver on our roadmap, with a first reactor and a first synchronized fuel production line in 2034.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><cite>- Nicolas Breyton, Stellaria's CEO<\/cite><\/p>\n<p><cite>\u00a0<\/cite><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/figure>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul><\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Visits from two of our partners<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">On Friday October 4<\/span>, Orano's teams visited our offices for a day dedicated to molten salts and the preliminary design (APS) of our reactor. It was a day of openness, honesty and, above all, conviviality!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Of course, we talked about a number of topics, such as salt chemistry and fuel, but above all we proudly presented our APS: it took us just 8 months to finalize it and be able to share it.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"659\" width=\"800\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1; object-fit: cover; width: 639px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.stellaria.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/image-carree.png?resize=800%2C659&#038;quality=80&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"L'\u00e9quipe de Stellaria avec Julien Plan et Olivier Drouvot d'Orano\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We also presented our little Alvin, which won't be so little after all, since it's the name we've given to our fission experiment, a name chosen as a tribute to the physicist Alvin Weinberg.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>____________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">On Wednesday October 23,<\/span> it was the turn of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cea.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEA<\/a> team from Grenoble, Cadarache and Saclay centers, represented by <a href=\"https:\/\/liten.cea.fr\/cea-tech\/liten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEA-Liten<\/a>, le <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/company\/cea-isas\/?originalSubdomain=fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEA-Isas<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cea.fr\/energies\/iresne\/Pages\/L&#039;institut\/Qui-nous-sommes.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEA-Iresne<\/a>, to come and discover our premises and APS. 20 people in the room, 20 more on Teams and us: there were almost 50 of us to get together and talk!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>We explained safety rules, reactor core operation, filling and draining, and all the systems in the reactor building.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<figure><img decoding=\"async\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" height=\"538\" width=\"800\" style=\"width: 639px;\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.stellaria.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/visite-cea-23-10.png?resize=800%2C538&#038;quality=80&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" \/><\/figure>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Thank you to our partners for their commitment!
