In this article, we share his conclusions transparently, which align with our roadmap and ongoing actions.<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Strengths Highlighted:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"translation-block\"><strong>The fuel itself:<\/strong>  Salt simplifies the fuel manufacturing process, ensures the preservation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edf.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EDF<\/a>\u2019s plutonium volume\/quality through isogeneration, and allows for thorium and U235 versions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Safety:<\/strong><\/strong> : <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellaria.fr\/en\/solution\/\">Four safety barriers<\/a> limit exposure to only 1 mSv at closure, with a demonstration of enhanced safety in scenarios involving a hypothesized breach of the first barrier without causing major incidents. The reactor also features a low-pressure, natural convection system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><strong>Security<\/strong><\/strong> <strong>prise en compte d\u00e8s la conception<\/strong>&nbsp;: un sel combustible demeurant plus de 20 ans en r\u00e9acteur, limitant radicalement le nombre de transports de mati\u00e8res radioactives, et la disposition souterraine de notre r\u00e9acteur.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Business model&nbsp;<\/strong>Strong industrial partners like <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ten.com\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Technip Energies<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.se.com\/fr\/fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Schneider Electric<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orano.group\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Orano<\/a>, a business model that optimizes financial requirements before initial sales; and structurally low reactor costs due to its compactness-to-efficiency ratio. Furthermore, the Stellarium is designed to also operate with HALEU (High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium), a fuel enriched in U235 beyond conventional levels used in pressurized water reactors. On this topic, we are collaborating with Orano to synchronize roadmaps and production volumes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The reactor&nbsp;<\/strong>The chosen fuel exchanger design is complex. Acknowledging this, we have released a detailed 3D design with thermal and pressure calculations. To optimize its fabrication, we rely on top French experts based at <a href=\"https:\/\/liten.cea.fr\/cea-tech\/liten\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEA-Liten<\/a> in Grenoble.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Salt Chemistry<\/strong> : A significant R&amp;D program has been launched with our partners (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnrs.fr\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNRS<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cea.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEA<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ijclab.in2p3.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IJCLAB<\/a>) and the Orano's <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stellaria.fr\/en\/sharing-group-partners-visit\/\">sharing group<\/a> (<a href=\"https:\/\/thorizon.com\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/thorizon.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thorizon<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naarea.fr\/fr\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.naarea.fr\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Naarea<\/a>) enables pooling R&amp;D efforts on salt synthesis, reprocessing, and corrosion control.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Safety Code Validation<\/strong> The world\u2019s first fission experiment using fast neutrons in chloride salts will validate our calculations. Its preliminary design (APS) has already been budgeted.
